My freezer and pantry are stuffed to the gills with some weirdness, so this week I'm beginning to try to make a dent in it. I bought a ton of produce a few days ago, so that should supplement our freezer and pantry eat-down for a little while. After that, things are gonna get strange! Or maybe not-- usually when I try to eat from the pantry and freezer, I'm the only one in my family who plays along, so I end up eating strange concoctions for lunch while the rest of my crew carries on as usual. We'll see how it goes!
Here's what's on our menu this week:
fruit served with every meal
muffins, pancakes, and sweet potato biscuits (from the freezer)
|Beautiful Bean Salad|
Beautiful Bean Salad (yeah yeah...supposed to be eating from the freezer, but it's too good to resist)
sunbutter and jelly sandwiches , grilled cheese, French toast (bread from the freezer)
Blue Ribbon Granola Bar
cereal bars and granola bars (packaged, from the pantry)
cheese and crackers
Wait! Aren't I supposed to be eating DOWN the pantry? Well...a neighbor wanted to make freezer burritos together, and I'm not going to miss the chance to let our kids play while we chat! Plus I LOVE freezer burritos.
stir fry and rice
BBQ chicken (husband's request)
snack supper (cheese, crackers, fruit, carrots and cucumbers, hummus)
Very Veggie Black Bean Burgers (from the freezer) and sweet potato fries-- our version of 4th of July cookout!
breakfast for supper-- waffles, scrambled eggs, fruit
